Continuing the traditions...
Mentoring children in needlearts!
Stitch N’ Pitch and the Needle Arts Mentoring Program (NAMP) connect generations and pass on traditions. Stitch N’ Pitch has paired up with NAMP to increase awareness and raise funds for this needlearts not-for-profit program.
What is NAMP? People who care volunteer to teach kids grades K - 12 the needle arts. NAMP provides free start-up supplies, instructional materials and skilled guidance that mentors give to their students. NAMP is growing with more than 160 programs in 30 states.
Why NAMP and Stitch N’ Pitch? Because crocheting, cross-stitch, embroidery, knitting and needlepoint are healthy hobbies. They are creative, colorful, expressive and fun! Those of us who enjoy Stitch N’ Pitch want to share the joy of the needle arts with the youth in our communities. |
Where? You’ll find children eager to learn everywhere - just look. For example, after school centers, religious organizations, Scouts, community workshops, libraries, and local needle arts shops all have programs. |
When? Start now! Contact information for NAMP is at the bottom of this page. You determine the structure and length of your program. Make it fit your vision and the needs of your students. |
Who? Everyone and anyone who wants to pass on their skill and passion are welcome to become a mentor. NAMP provides start-up supplies - you add the spark! |
We are proud to say that part of each Stitch N’ Pitch event nation-wide focuses some part in raising funds to support NAMP.
